Introduction: Department of Life Sciences, ITM University has been offering graduate and postgraduate degrees in Optometry since 2014, driven by over a decade of experience in offering life sciences and paramedical education at the ITM Institute of Health Sciences (ITM IHS) in Mumbai. At ITM University, a team of experienced faculties lead the program delivery, supported by the University’s excellent infrastructure, laboratories, computer labs and more, encompassed in a large and serene environment.
About M.Opto (Research) programm 2019-21: The M.Opt program is conducted in collaboration with Sankara Nethralaya, with a jointly developed curriculum and both organizations participating in the development of the program participants. The program includes a comprehensive theoretical complement of postgraduate subjects, taught full-time at ITM University campus in Raipur, CG. The research and clinical practice component of the program is led by the medical practitioners at Sankara Nethralaya in the form of two phases of clinical internships conducted at Sankara Nethralaya hospital in Chennai and Kolkata.
