Ph.D in Biosciences

The objective of this program is to encourage independent thinking as researchers and to make a good thesis work in his/her area of research. This will also contribute in his/her professional growth as well as welfare of society. For admission to the Ph.D. programme in a related subject in the Faculties, applicants fulfilling the following criteria shall be treated as eligible: An applicant for admission to the Ph.D. programme of this University shall possess, a Master’s degree with 55% in Science/Technology/ Engineering/ Pharmacy or equivalent. The nomenclature of the eligibility qualification at Master’s level or any other allied discipline will be approved by the University Institute from time to time.

Duration of the research program:

A candidate shall be eligible to awarded with the degree, on successful completion of a minimum of 3 yrs of industrial research work duly approved by RRC of the University, which canbe extended up to 7yrs.

Exemption for Entrance Test:

The candidates fulfilling one the following conditions will be exempted from Entrance Examination. Qualified in NET and JRF examinations of the apex bodies such as CSIR/UGC/ICAR/ ICMR and DBT. There will be no entrance test for NET/SET/GATE/ JRF/GPAT qualified and M.Phill from the relevant or allied subject.
